Chairman of Coldwell Banker Caine, Frank Halter heads the third generation family-owned and operated company. Under his direction, the company has grown from six associates to one of the premier real estate firms in Upstate South Carolina. Mr. Halter joined the firm in 1953 and was named President of the company in 1968. Frank is located in the Greenville office.
EXPERIENCE
During his more than 54 years in residential and commercial real estate, Mr. Halter has been instrumental in developments across South Carolina. His developments include three major malls in Greenville, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach.
Additionally, Mr. Hatler is heavily involved in land development, brokerage, and leasing, both commercial and residential, active development of condominiums, subdivisions, duplexes, and patio homes. These developments include: shopping centers, office buildings and large tract development.
EDUCATION
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Halter is a 1951 graduate of the University of Georgia. He was an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force from 1951-1953. Mr. Halter has been active in professional and civic organizations including National Association of Realtors, Greenville Realtor of the Year (1962), Greenville Chamber of Commerce President (1974), Greenville County Planning Commission, Greenville Hospital System Trustee and Chairman (1984-1986), United Way Campaign Chair (Palmetto Society Director), YMCA, Peace Center for Performing Arts (Director 1994-2000), and Furman University Advisory Board. Mr. Halter is a member of Christ Episcopal Church. He has one son, Brad who is President of the company, two daughters, Debbie and Laura, and six grandchildren.
